Chapel Hill, NC
Geothermal installed January, 2010, in the Chapel Hill home of Phil.
12-year old conventional heat pump system replaced with a geothermal two-stage system. The geothermal HVAC system consisted of two vertical bores located in Phil's front yard. The geothermal heat pump and all duct work is located in the crawl space of Phil's 2100 square foot home.

Pictured below is the grouting of the bore holes with thermal enhanced grout. This grout is a mixture of Wyoming Bentonite and Silica Sand. This thermal enhanced grout improves the thermal conductivity of the bore hole while provoiding a seal between the exisiting aquifers and ground water to prevent cross contamination.
