In addition to these great new financing options, some insurance companies are beginning to offer
discounts on insurance premiums as homes are being built stronger.
The Institute for Business and Home Safety (www.ibhs.org.) created a program called the Fortified For Safer Living Program,
which outlines specific design, construction, and landscaping guidelines that would help a home's resistance to
extreme weather including floods, high winds, earthquakes, hail and fire.
